Getting Fit With Lexsine
When I started working at home I weighed 135lbs, I have in the past 7+ years gained 97lbs. Of course the main cause is due to inactivity, sitting at my computer 15 to 20 hours per days became my worst enemy. I watched a TV program on weight loss a few days ago, that is when I realized how much weight I had actually gained. It’s time to take action and turn this around.
I decided to create this page to help those who are in my position as well as those just starting out with the work at home opportunity. Prevention is better than cure.
Assessment of what caused my weight gain to go unnoticed:
No new clothes: Working at home is great because I don’t have the constant need to buy new clothes as often as I use to. Sitting at the computer for such long periods, I need to wear loose fitting clothing that is comfotable. As such I was not fully aware of how uncomfortable I was in the clothes that I had. When I did purchase new clothes and went one size up, I thought oh it’s just one size. One size up from size 10 now has me at size 16-18.
Workaholic: I identified that I became a workaholic. When I get involved in anything I give it my 100% and beyond. I came from a place where I was waiting on my next check to pay my bills, always struggling and never getting ahead. Sitting at my computer working and making money took more than 200% from me each time. I was determined not to allow this opportunity to slip me by.
Self-Denial: As I gained more and more weight I looked at other areas in my life to justify it. Oh, it’s only 10lbs that’s no big deal etc. The list goes on and on and on but you get the picture.
So today I do my weigh in and I hope that you will too. I will process a weekly update to motivate you and myself.
